- A renaissance in the popularity of New Zealand camping grounds has seen more buyers develop the businesses as holiday parks rather than converting them into private beachfront properties, an industry spokesman says.
A 2.48-hectare Picton holiday park is on the market, while owners of a lodge and camping ground in the Marlborough Sounds are preparing the business for sale.
Holiday Parks of New Zealand chief executive Fergus Brown said more people were buying properties and choosing to develop them for their original purpose.
