An Elsternwick penthouse featuring a private rooftop putting green and an indoor golf driving facility is set to sell for $3.3 million to $3.6 million.

This remarkable home, offering panoramic views of the MCG, You Yangs, and Mt Dandenong, is situated on the 10th floor of its building.

Owners Jennifer and Peter Lechte, through their family-run business, the Lechte Corporation, have developed numerous residential and multi-use structures across Melbourne over the past 25 years. They chose to reside on the top level of the Elsternwick site themselves.

Ms Lechte said she and her husband, both keen golfers, installed the golfing area to practise their chipping and putting skills on the outdoor green.

And the driving similator has mirrors on two sides for golfers to check their swing and stance.

“You can hit the ball as hard as you like in there, as it goes into a net,” Ms Lechte said.

“During the Covid lockdowns, it was wonderful to keep our golf skills up even when we couldn’t play.”
