Planned bridge ‘ugly’ and ‘in the wrong place’

• Ugly, in the wrong place, and designed in a hurry for the wrong reasons were among the criticisms aimed at Palmerston North’s planned cycle and pedestrian bridge by its detractors.

Submitters vented their opposition during a two-day resource management commissioners’ hearing in the city on Wednesday and Thursday.
