China’s ‘Tina Turner’ lives upstairs but just who paid $11.8m for the ground-floor apartment in a historic 1912 Point Piper mansion recently has been a well-kept mystery until now.
The street talk hinted that the buyers may have been David Cobcroft, managing director of Alukea Commodities, and his wife, Anna.
Ist City Real Estate Group’s Julian Hasemer, who on May 13 sold the three-bedroom residence in the exclusive Kilmory Estate at 6/6 Wentworth Street — owned by the former chief executive of Chanel Korea, Robert Stavrides, and his wife, Sarina — has been tight-lipped but other sources have now confirmed the Cobcrofts are moving in.
