Comparatively, prices in the US appear to be significantly higher. For instance, a similar two-piece Classic Signature Chicken Combo would cost around US$11.99 at a California outlet in April 2024, roughly equivalent to NZ$20.

In addition to the highlighted meals, the full NZ menu will also feature ‘sandwiches’ (burgers) and other selections. Meanwhile, in the US, Popeyes offers a seafood range including fish burgers and deep-fried shrimp, an expanded array of sides, chicken nuggets, and desserts like strawberry biscuits, cinnamon apple pie, and strawberry cheesecake cup.

The inaugural Popeyes NZ store will open its doors at 106 Great South Road in Auckland’s Takanini, commencing operations at 10 am on Monday, April 29. Early birds can look forward to receiving prizes such as vouchers and T-shirts.
