Bomera, the heritage sandstone Italianate mansion on the Potts Point clifftop, has been listed for sale publicly after failing to find an off market buyer.

It was six years ago that Bomera was bought for $12.5 million by Leanne Catelan, the daughter of the late RP Data founder Ray Catelan.

Bomera had had ambitious $25 million hopes in 2010, but sat on the market for two years before Catelan swooped on the 160 year old mansion.

Catelan bought it from Spanish property developer Jorge Fernandez and wife Monica, who had commissioned heritage architects Graham Brooks & Associates to restore the residence.
