Williams Corporation, the proprietors of the lavish townhouse named Goliath, are currently seeking buyers for their opulent yacht, priced at nearly $6 million. The luxurious 26.5m vessel, boasting a teak-panelled main deck saloon with a marble-topped wet bar, four cabins with private bathrooms, and a VIP suite, was listed on Trade Me a month ago with an initial asking price of $5.8 million.

The yacht is under the ownership of M/Y WW Charters Ltd, a charter business established in December by Blair Chappell and Matthew Horncastle, co-founders of Williams Corporation. The duo charges $10,000 per day for the rental of the yacht, which features a teak-panelled main deck saloon, a marble-topped wet bar, two 1800 horsepower engines, and is crewed by four staff. Accommodating eight guests overnight and up to 45 guests on day trips, the yacht is described as more than just a vessel; it’s an extraordinary experience.

When questioned about the decision to sell, Horncastle cited a shift in his life chapter, expressing that owning such assets is more practical to rent given the limited personal usage. The sale comes as part of a series of attempts by Horncastle to offload high-end possessions, including a 2019 black McLaren, a white Rolls-Royce, and a G3 Mercedes, collectively valued at about $1 million. Last year, he also sold his three-storey central Christchurch home for $2.225 million, planning to upgrade to a larger residence in a wealthy Christchurch suburb.

Despite facing challenges in the property market, as highlighted in an Instagram post, Williams Corporation remains active, having built over 1800 houses and achieved over $200 million in real estate. While the company initially planned a move into Australia, the decision was postponed in November. However, Horncastle remains optimistic about the future, emphasizing ongoing land acquisitions for new projects and expressing confidence in the market’s improvement.
