The Real Estate Institute of New Zealand says property managers need to decide whether they want to continue to work with owners who have not met new insulation guidelines.

The owners of those that do not meet the standard can be fined $4000.
It is expected that 10 per cent to 20 per cent of owners will not be able to meet the deadline.
