With a big decision looming over the fate of Masterton’s earthquake-prone 100-year-old town hall, a developer has come up with a plan that aims to save the best of the old and create something new.
David Borman has studied the council building and town hall’s plans and believes the best parts of the old structure can be saved, while also building a new 700-seat civic centre for less than the cost of starting from scratch.
Borman is experienced in dealing with earthquake-prone buildings.
