In April, the network launched its operations in New Zealand, and it now marks a significant milestone in its expansion in the country by opening its 10th office in the island nation.

Just three weeks after welcoming five new offices in New Zealand, Raine & Horne has entered the Kawakawa market. This historic community is situated in the heart of the Bay of Islands region on the North Island. Gerard Ponsonby, an experienced operator, is leading the network’s latest outpost.
Angus Raine, the Network Executive Chairman, expressed his delight that Mr. Ponsonby, who added three of his offices to the Raine & Horne network in June, is spearheading the group’s expansion. He emphasized that adding the 10th office in just five months solidifies their position as a preferred real estate brand in New Zealand. Raine added that this move extends their presence in the evolving Northland’s real estate market.
Mr. Ponsonby confirmed that the office will provide a full-service real estate operation to the primarily agricultural community. They plan to expand their sales and property management departments immediately, with a strong commitment to excellence for vendors, buyers, and investors in the region.
Similar to Mr. Ponsonby’s other offices, the Raine & Horne Kawakawa branch will leverage the network’s social media marketing platform, Amplify, to market properties. Mr. Ponsonby noted that since joining Raine & Horne, they have used Amplify to market properties, resulting in increased property inquiries from around the world.
Looking ahead, Mr. Ponsonby believes that the upcoming New Zealand general election on October 14 may delay the traditional spring selling season as individuals tend to hold off on major economic decisions during elections, especially in property transactions due to their significance. However, he anticipates that any lost time will be recovered towards the end of the year, with strong sales conditions expected to continue until Christmas and into January.
