A Long Island real estate agent has been fired over a racist online rant in response to the George Floyd protests.

The real estate agent was seen online responding to looting, writing and using a racial slur while allegedly threatening people and holding an assault-style weapon. He, in an explicit manner, says he spent $1,300 on the weapons and wants to use it.

Through a statement, the real estate agency says it takes the matter very seriously, and it says the agent has been fired.

The video has been seen more than a million times on Twitter, resulting in some explosive comments posted online. Later, Aversano apologized for his remarks.

“It was meant to be a private Snapchat,” he said. “I did not intend for it to be racist. However, I do understand that a lot of people took it that way. And I do truly apologize.”

Calls to Aversano’s phone went unanswered and there was no one at his office Firday, but there were a stack of “for sale” signs piled by the door.
