The sign displays the words ‘rent by the day to promote your business’ above an image of a man opening his overcoat from behind, with the phrase ‘expose yourself’ emphasized in bold red font. While some find the sign amusing and attention-grabbing, others have raised concerns about its suggestive nature and potential violation of advertising standards.

A local resident reported the sign to the North Sydney council, criticizing it as inappropriate and suggesting it could be interpreted as promoting indecent behavior. However, some observers have found humor in the sign’s boldness and admit it effectively draws attention to the property.

In response to the controversy, a handmade sign reading ‘Home is where you take your pants off’ has appeared adjacent to the original, adding to the neighborhood’s discussion on public displays and humor. Despite the mixed reactions, Moussalli stands by his marketing strategy, asserting that it’s harmless and intended to attract interest in the property. He likens his approach to that of comedians pushing boundaries for effect, emphasizing that his goal is simply to promote the available land for rent.
