On March 2, Stephanie Lovins dined at Cazuelas Mexican Cantina, where she was served by a waiter named Ricardo. Upset over the restaurant’s policy of allowing only one coupon per table, Lovins vented her frustration in the most inappropriate way—by writing a racist note on her receipt. The message read, “I hope Trump deports you,” followed by “Zero. You suck.”

The receipt was shared on social media by a restaurant employee, sparking outrage and calls for action. Many condemned Lovins’ behavior, demanding consequences for her actions.

The backlash prompted an internal investigation by Century 21, the real estate brand Lovins was affiliated with. In a statement, the company emphasized its commitment to respect, tolerance, and acceptance, stating, “Hate has no place within the CENTURY 21 brand.” Following the investigation, Century 21 confirmed that Lovins was no longer associated with the company.

Lovins attempted to deny her involvement, claiming on Facebook that her credit card had been stolen and used by someone else. She also alleged that her social media accounts had been hacked. However, these claims were debunked when the restaurant reviewed security footage, which confirmed that Lovins was indeed present at the time of the incident.

Century 21 reiterated its stance against hate and discrimination, stating, “After investigating the situation and connecting with the respective broker, we can confirm that this agent is no longer affiliated with the brand.”
