Real Estate Agent’s Creative Ad Campaign Divides Public Opinion

A real estate agent‘s unconventional advertising campaign has stirred mixed reactions across Australia. Noah Rezaie, a 27-year-old sales consultant at P&G Real Estate, has taken a humorous approach to self-promotion by labeling himself as the “best-looking agent” in Narre Warren South. This quirky ad, displayed on the back of a bus traveling through south-east Melbourne, has caught the attention of locals and sparked debate online.

The Controversial Ad

Rezaie’s advertisement boldly proclaims, “Voted #1 Best-Looking Agent in Narre Warren South,” with a cheeky clarification at the bottom: “Voted by my mum.” The ad features Rezaie in a stylish suit, striking a relaxed pose with his left hand in his pocket and his right arm leaning casually.

Rezaie, who has seven years of experience in real estate, explained to Daily Mail Australia that the ad was intentionally designed to stand out and attract attention. “My colleague Melissa and I were brainstorming ideas, and we wanted something different from the typical real estate agent ad,” he said.

Humour as a Strategy

Understanding that real estate agents often face negative stereotypes, Rezaie aimed to connect with the public through humour. “People tend to hate real estate agents because they don’t have the best reputation, and I don’t blame them,” he acknowledged. His goal was to show that some agents are approachable and genuinely care about helping people, a message he also tries to convey on TikTok.

The campaign also included a social media competition. “People are asked to take a photo of the ad on the back of the bus and post it to their stories,” Rezaie explained. The contest offers three $200 vouchers as prizes and runs for three weeks.

Mixed Reactions

Local reactions to the ad have been generally positive, with many sharing photos of it on social media and giving favorable feedback on P&G Real Estate’s Instagram account. However, once the ad made its way to Reddit, opinions became more divided.

While some appreciated the humor and creativity, others remained critical. Comments ranged from, “He looks like a cheaper version of James Franco,” to more harsh critiques like, “Looks like the back end of a bus to me.” Some even mocked Rezaie’s fashion choices, noting his “brown (faux) leather shoes, no socks.”

The Debate Continues

Rezaie has taken the mixed feedback in stride, understanding the public’s general mistrust of real estate agents. “The general public hate real estate agents, so I understand,” he said. Although the ad has not yet attracted more clients, Rezaie remains optimistic, noting that such advertisements can take time to show results.

Despite the criticism, some commentators recognized the effectiveness of the campaign. One Reddit user defended Rezaie, saying, “A real estate agent’s job is to get your house seen, talked about, and sold. You’re all talking about him … this guy knows his sh**.”
