The general manager of real estate chain Remax is leaving the business, as she prepares to defend a High Court action and disciplinary charges at the Real Estate Agents Disciplinary Tribunal.
Corrina Mansell, an award-winning real estate agent, had led the New Zealand arm of the company, which describes itself as the world’s biggest agency, since 2014.
Remax’s Brisbane-based Australia-New Zealand chief executive, Michael Davoren, said he was relocating to Auckland to take over the role. Davoren said the move had “nothing to do with” the lawsuit taken by Te Awamutu pensioner Jean Warburton, who bought Mansell’s Hamilton rental property. The home was later found to be leaky and repairs could cost up to $500,000.
Davoren said: “It’s all internal stuff that I’ve got no intention of sharing with the media.”
