House sellers have reached all-time levels of optimism over the prices they can sell their properties for, according to property sales web business realestate.co.nz.

It said September ended with vendors setting a “national all-time high” average asking price since, along with all-time highs in six regions.

Once again, it is Auckland where expectations, and activity, was highest.

“The new listing deluge is led by the Auckland region with owners adding 3896 homes for sale to the site, up by nearly a third (31.9 per cent) compared to September 2017,” said realestate.co.nz spokesperson Vanessa Taylor.
