• A  woman who went to renew her driver’s licence was shocked to learn the place she has lived for 20 years no longer exists.

Trish Palmer has lived at Stanley Brook in the Motueka Valley near Nelson for more than 20 years, and is proud of the area she calls home.

When she visited the Richmond AA Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agent office recently, Palmer did not envisage any issues with her address.

The process was initially straightforward and she had no problem in filling out the necessary forms.
