Neighbours hoping for a roundabout at a busy intersection are divided about whether they should sacrifice a slice of their front yards to make it happen.

The roundabout is proposed at the Battys and New Renwick Rd intersection in case land beside the Burleigh Gourmet Pie Shop is rezoned for a subdivision.

When Burleigh resident Grosvener Jones purchased his property in 1953, he said his front yard was “just a piece of grass”.

Jones said he was approached by someone from APL Property to ask if he would consider selling some of his property.
