- Construction is scheduled to start on Wanaka’s $85 million Marina Terrace Apartments in February, with 50 apartments now approved for the lakefront complex on Lakeside Road.
Project manager Matt Tuck said the developer, Multiplied Investments, decided to drop a restaurant from the plans after talking with the Wanaka Chamber of Commerce and Lake Wanaka Tourism about whether it was needed.
Six more apartments were then added to the complex, all fitting within the restaurant envelope.
“I sold all those apartments within 24 hours of making them available in November, I have just received the resource consent amendment and we have now filled 35 of the 50 apartments. It is going really well,” Tuck said.
