Fourteen bidders scrambled for the opportunity to secure the property and the chance to do it up when it went to auction this week.
And one lucky bidder paid a fraction under $2 million for the house, with the sale having immediately after the auction, says listing agent Steven Glucina of LJ Hooker, Ponsonby.
