The number of house sales around New Zealand last month was the lowest of any June in five years – but some economists say there are signs things are improving.
The Real Estate Institute has released its statistics for June, which show nationwide house sales picking up 3 per cent compared to May.
Auckland sales jumped 13.6 per cent, month-on-month.
Compared to the year before, turnover was down 3.2 per cent in Auckland, and 4 per cent for the rest of the country.
