In the past year, four houses that featured on Grand Designs New Zealand have come onto the market.
But having a star role on television doesn’t always work in your favour when it comes time to sell, says the owner of the first house to be listed.
This time last year, Scotsman Scott Lawrie, a favourite from the first series, listed his sculptural house at Pakiri with Barfoot & Thompson (Parnell and Mangawhai). Lawrie, who has plans to do it all again, says he took it off the market earlier this year as he didn’t feel the market was right.
