A buyers’ spending spree at a masterplanned community on the Gold Coast has prompted the developers to fast-track the latest land release.

Up to $16 million in land across 19 lots has been snapped up by buyers in just nine weeks at Serenity Cove, a $650 million gated community at Hope Island.

The sales splurge has prompted the Malaysia-based developers Sime Darby and Brunsfield International Group to bring forward the construction of a further 18 lots, with 15 expressions of interest already recorded.

Savills director of residential Chris Jones said contracts were already being finalised.
