The first episode of the hit series, Sex and the City, aired on 6 June, 1998, which means that today marks its 20th anniversary.

Set in New York City, the homes of Charlotte, Miranda, Carrie and Samantha featured heavily throughout the series, from Carrie having trouble raising money to buy back her apartment, to Charlotte fighting for her abode in her divorce . However, 20 years on, could these characters actually afford to live in their inner-city real estate?
