2019 has been a “stable” year for the real estate market – but there are predictions that could change in 2020.
The Real Estate Institute said the national median residential property sale price had increased by 5.6 per cent in the 11 months to November compared to the same time the year before.
In Auckland, the median sale price dropped 0.6 per cent over that period.
The number of properties sold nationwide for the 11 months was 2.6 per cent down on 2018, at 70,882.
The median days to sell increased two days.
Real Estate Institute chief executive Bindi Norwell said there had been some key themes over the year.
