Recent revelations from the Mail confirm that Simon Cowell has, after selling his Holland Park house in West London, decided to finally move into his Wimbledon mansion. The 64-year-old music mogul plans to make the Georgian property his home alongside his fiancée, Lauren Silverman, and their nine-year-old son, Eric.

Simon acquired the six-bedroom house five years ago, investing £1 million in renovations. However, he initially attempted to sell the property and later opted to rent it out, creating a sense of mystery around his decision not to inhabit the Wimbledon home.

Friends suggest that, as he approached 60, Simon desired a quieter life, but his reluctance to move into the Wimbledon residence in South West London left many puzzled. Britain’s Got Talent co-star Ant McPartlin disclosed Simon’s relocation on Instagram, mentioning that Simon visits him at his nearby home.

Ant remarked, ‘Simon Cowell’s just moved in round the corner from me. He comes round for tea and biscuits. Well, he doesn’t eat the biscuits – I do.’ When asked why Simon doesn’t eat, Ant jokingly responded, ‘Well, I mean, he doesn’t eat, have you seen the size of him lately?’

In August, Simon sold his Holland Park home for £15 million after enduring a series of break-ins that heightened concerns about his family’s safety. Despite owning the Wimbledon mansion, he continued residing in the Holland Park property, where he had lived for 16 years.

Simon had never occupied the new property despite spending £1 million tailoring it to his family’s needs. The house was listed for £18 million in 2021. Before the sale, Simon reportedly renovated the 1900s period house extensively, including installing new suites in the six bathrooms and adding a new kitchen and other features on the ground floor.

The property now includes a gym, a spacious playroom, and a double garage. Plans for a swimming pool in the landscaped half-acre grounds have been approved. Simon’s decision to leave London in August was fueled by the desire for a new life in the countryside with Lauren, 46, Eric, and Lauren’s son, Adam, 18.

The Wimbledon mansion is expected to serve as a weekend retreat for the family. Simon also owns an £18.3 million home in Los Angeles, featuring six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and a 1.63-acre estate overlooking the ocean. The property includes amenities such as a plunge pool, hot tub, barbecue area, koi pond, and a tennis court that is reportedly used as an overflow car park.
