New Zealand property tycoon Sir Bob Jones’ company Robt. Jones Holdings has paid $10.11 million for his 18th prime office building in Wellington’s CBD; Civic Assurance House on Lambton Quay.

Other well-known Wellington CBD buildings owned by Robt. Jones Holdings include David Jones, Midland Chambers, Lambton Centre, Lambton House, Harbour Tower, Featherston House and The Bayleys Building.

The price paid for 52 year-old Civic Assurance House was disclosed in a monthly research report of real estate firm Colliers International.

Colliers was the marketing agent for the sale of the 10-level building built in 1967. The sale was announced in early July.
