New Zealand’s alpine country stations are sometimes better known overseas than they are at home – 3916 Manuka Point Station in Rakaia could well be one of these.

The station, which has been listed for sale, is known around the world as a professional hunting paradise. But it’s appeal goes way beyond that – it’s an ideal base to explore the scenery that makes this country such a sought-after movie location.

Owner Don Patterson says he first set foot on the land in 1983, as a young hunter. And with each subsequent hunting trip, his desire grew to own Manuka Point and establish a world-class, guided trophy hunting operation.

The Manuka Point Station trophy hunting operation, established by Don Patterson nearly 20 years ago, has welcomed visitors from all over the world. And this is what it's all about – magnificent alpine scenery and isolation.
