Sports glamour couple offload $5.5m beachside pad

Glamour sports couple ex-pro surfer Luke Egan and Fox Sports presenter Jessica Yates have offloaded their $5.5m Cronulla home, prior to auction.

The home was listed earlier this month with $5.5m price hopes and was snapped up on Wednesday prior to its November 2 auction.

The stunning, newly built Wanda Beach pad has been home to Egan and Yates’ growing family for the past four years.

It was designed with the tranquil, private beachside location on Links Ave at front of mind.

Given the challenging market, and that nationally home prices have suffered their biggest fall on record, the quick sale is a great result for both the vendors and sales agents Highland’s Laura McKay and Mitchell Wynn.

“The home generated fierce enquiry from locals and buyers outside the area,” Ms McKay said.

“Highland hosted private appointments throughout a two-week period and in the end, a local secured it.”

The 5-bed, 4-bath, 4-car home is a short walk from Wanda Beach and the shoreline of Cronulla’s Bate Bay. It features a saltwater pool and sustainable building design.
