  • WILLIAM O’Dwyer, who spent $94 million last year to become the biggest landholder in Surfers Paradise, has aborted a $39.5 million purchase.

Mr O’Dwyer’s Sydney-based Ralan group agreed 12 months ago to buy what is known as the Hyundai site — a whole city block immediately north of the QT Hotel.
