Pratik and Chaitali Patel put their Kellyville house up for sale just after Easter last year but couldn’t find a buyer.
Just before Christmas, they had the house professionally restyled and changed real-estate agents in a bid to attract one.
“It appeals more, it looks like a display home,” Mr Patel said. “I believe because of the styling, inquiry has increased.”
The Patels are among many sellers in Sydney hoping that this year will net them the buyer who eluded them in 2018.
