Tauranga City Council and the owners of properties in the Bella Vista development have reached a settlement in the long running botched building saga.
The deal will see council take ownership of the properties and comes after months of negotiations with homeowners who were left with houses that were not up to scratch and potentially dangerous despite being ticked off by council.
The terms of settlement are confidential.
