A Northland landlord has been ordered to pay his tenant more than $2000 after moving into a cabin on the property without her permission.
Allen Foster was ordered by the Tenancy Tribunal to pay Nicola Millar $2835 compensation for unlawful entry, unlawful termination and breach of quiet enjoyment.
The damages relate to the rental of Foster’s property on Taipa View Road in the Far North. Millar rented the property through Haze Real Estate and moved in, in April 2019.
But in July 2019, Foster also moved in, into a small cabin on the property.
