It’s survived wars, pandemics, and demolition plans, now 160-year-old Fishleigh cottage faces a new challenge: finding a buyer in the 2022 housing market.
Believed to be one of the oldest European dwellings still standing in the region, it came through the Taranaki Land Wars in the 1800s, despite being outside what had been New Plymouth’s inner defences.
