The mythical unicorn is elusive and often used to describe something impossibly wonderful and hard to find. So when an agent labelled a flat in Dee Why a unicorn, we had to know more.

Dee Why is unit central on the northern beaches with more units selling in that suburb than any other. According to CoreLogic 502 units sold in Dee Why over 12 months and 42 units are currently for sale in the beachside locale.

With so many units to choose from it can be hard to distinguish the properties, so when an agent tags a Dee Why unit as an unicorn you have to take notice.

Number 5/44 The Crescent is a top floor apartment with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, garaging for two cars and a garden. It is bigger than most houses with 485sqm of accommodation including a north-facing terrace 155sqm in size.

James Smyth, of Smyth Estate Agents, said there are also ocean, sand and lagoon views and the property has a garden without the maintenance. There is even a communal pool in the 11-unit block.
