OPINION: It seems everyone agrees this year’s season of The Block NZ was a disaster, with only two of the four apartments selling under the hammer on auction night.
Three of the four teams went home with no extra cash from the sale of their apartments (after 12 weeks’ gruelling work), and the fourth team’s apartment hasn’t even sold.
So, what went wrong? We could start with the sale prices. Stacy and Adam sold post-auction after negotiation and the figure they received was a record for an apartment in Kingsland ($1.48 million).
