IT HAS six levels and so many features it could be a luxury apartment complex. But this is no residental tower – it is a hilltop home at Norman Park.
The owners of 53 Wendell St, Sharon and Michael Panettiere, designed and built their dream home three years ago after a lengthy search for the perfect block of land.
“It’s our own ‘New York view’, looking over the Brisbane River, across from New Farm Park to the city, and a skyline that goes on and on,’’ Ms Panettiere said.
For Ms Panettiere, the kitchen and entertainment space on level three is a personal favourite.
“I have always liked separate ovens for my cooking – meats in one, sweets in the other – and yes, I love cooking so there’s nothing like a steam oven too,’’ she said.
“A perfect size walk-in pantry to have entertaining platters set up and ready to go was always a must in design.
“The kitchen and entertainment spaces are always a hub in a family home so wherever you are you are not left out of communications and fun.”
