New mum Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern gave us a rare glimpse into her Auckland home yesterday, as she talked about her return to office.

Stuff senior journalist Alison Mau described it as “a lovely place to nest – cosy and unpretentious; with pre-loved Mid-century furniture, and Kiwi art on the walls”.

What we can see from the two images supplied by Ardern and Clarke Gayford is indeed a cosy space, with dark duck-egg blue walls, Mid-century furniture and an abundance of indoor plants.
