The new Sunshine Coast University Hospital has had a huge beneficial impact on the Sunshine Coast, with the major infrastructure project and associated health precinct bringing people in and driving demand for housing throughout the region.
But the $2 billion project, completed last year, has also fuelled a major transformation of Birtinya, the suburb in which it is located.
It has been led by the creation of the Oceanside precinct, a $5 billion community being built in the Kawana Waters area along the Coral Sea coast.
