Where is The Block 2023 Set?
The Block is venturing back to the suburbs, with the 19th season being filmed in Hampton East, a picturesque bayside suburb located 16 kilometers from Melbourne’s CBD. In 2022, production company MicJoy Pty Ltd acquired five properties on Charming Street for a total of $14.3 million. The mid-century fixer-uppers at 14, 16, 18, 20, and 22 Charming Street will serve as the canvas for this year’s renovation journey. Notably, Hampton, the neighboring suburb, hosted The Block 2021, where Mitch and Mark emerged as the victorious duo.
Who Are the Contestants of The Block 2023? While the official announcement of the contestants is still pending, we do know that five teams of two will be vying for glory on auction day. Leaked photos from the filming reveal the teams dressed in ’50s-style outfits, hinting at the theme for this year’s show. In a departure from previous seasons, there are no celebrities, influencers, or former contestants in the mix, as The Block is returning to its roots and focusing on everyday individuals.

Is There a New Judge on The Block?
While there is no official confirmation yet, it appears that our beloved judges—Neale Whitaker, Shaynna Blaze, and Darren Palmer—will be returning to the show to provide their expert guidance and critique.
