FIRST HOME

The first home we bought was a little house in Box Hill in 2007. We did a very basic renovation (although I don’t recall having any interest or input into it at the time), and we subdivided the block and built a second dwelling on the back. It was an adventurous project to undertake especially during the GFC, and sadly not one we look back on fondly. Our stay was only brief in Box Hill (less than a year) when we decided to rent/sell the properties and promptly move back to Richmond, where we stayed for the majority of the next 15 years.

CURRENT HOME
A split-level three-bedroom apartment in Richmond, which we just sold. We purchased this property in 2019 and renovated it shortly after. We love this property especially the city skyline view (I think that’s what I’ll miss most when we move out). This property was the first one that really felt like home for me, but my three little people just continue to keep growing and growing so it’s time we look for a little more space. I really do love Richmond though, the location, the people, the energy, it’s the best and going to be hard to beat.

DREAM HOME
My dream home is probably just sitting patiently on some gorgeous street near Hawksburn waiting for me to afford it (It’ll be a long wait). It’ll be spacious yet cosy (definitely not too big). Its interior will be elegant and contemporary, and the exterior will be surrounded by so much greenery we feel like we’re living in Sassafras, and hopefully somewhere visible will be a city skyline view too.
