Crowded House star Tim Finn and his wife, TV presenter Marie Azcona, have secured a stunning new home in Australia, complete with breathtaking views of iconic landmarks. The couple purchased a beautifully renovated two-bedroom apartment in the historic Byron Hall, located on Macleay Street in Potts Point. The apartment offers sweeping views of the city skyline, Sydney Opera House, and Harbour Bridge.

Sold prior to auction in June by Ray White Double Bay agents Kate Smith and Donna Mauthner, the apartment was initially guided at $1.75 million but was acquired by Finn and Azcona for around $1.6 million. Despite being based in Devonport, New Zealand, the pair frequently visit Sydney and sought a convenient city bolthole.

Tim Finn, known for his role in Split Enz and later reuniting with his brother Neil Finn for Crowded House’s iconic third album Woodface, is no stranger to Sydney’s vibrant music history. Many still remember the band’s farewell concert on the steps of the Opera House in 1996, which attracted one of the largest live audiences in Australian history.

The Art Deco apartment, described as offering “New York-style living,” features two living areas with stunning views, well-positioned bedrooms with built-in wardrobes, a beautifully renovated kitchen and bathroom, and access to a shared rooftop terrace boasting spectacular views of the city and harbour. The apartment also retains its historic charm with a grand foyer, ornate elevators, and Herringbone wood flooring.
