A diminutive dwelling valued at over $200,000 is poised for auction with a starting bid of just $1, all proceeds earmarked for an organization dedicated to bolstering the mental health and overall well-being of tradespeople.
Established in 2022, Live Well Build Well has been instrumental in aiding tens of thousands of workers within the residential construction sector in enhancing their mental fortitude and implementing strategies to mitigate challenges such as depression and anxiety.
Rafael Caso, the Program Manager, expressed gratitude for the collaboration with Unit2go, which has culminated in a mutually beneficial initiative providing much-needed financial support to the organization.
“We’re immensely grateful for the backing of Unit2go, who have collaborated with various suppliers to craft an exceptional unit slated for auction with a starting bid of $1 on Trademe,” remarked Caso. “This infusion of funds is pivotal for our mission. The work we’re undertaking is profoundly impactful, and this opportunity will enable us to extend our reach significantly.”

Caso emphasized the heightened susceptibility of tradespeople to mental health challenges, owing to the demanding nature of their profession.
“Tradespeople often contend with the inherent uncertainties of an industry characterized by peaks and valleys,” explained Caso. “At Live Well Build Well, we’re committed to providing a tailored program aimed at nurturing mental well-being and resilience within this community. The positive reception of our efforts thus far fuels our enthusiasm for auctioning this tiny home, which promises to extend our support to even more hardworking Kiwi tradespeople.”
