McGrath Coogee agent Adrian Bo is on annual leave while an investigation is being completed into a misconduct complaint lodged by a younger colleague.

McGrath has confirmed to Real Estate Business it is investigating a complaint made against Mr Bo.

“Approximately two weeks ago, an allegation of misconduct was made, [and] McGrath takes its obligations seriously and accordingly has initiated an investigation by its HR team, assisted by an independent workplace lawyer,” a spokesperson said.

“While that inquiry is underway, it would be inappropriate to make any further comment.”

The Daily Telegraph reported that a source close to the situation said: “The colleague was really disturbed by (the alleged incident) and initially didn’t want anyone to find out but felt he had to complain about the comment made outside an office two weeks ago.”

The source said: “They have to work in the same team and the relationship became strained.”

Mr Bo told the paper he never made the alleged comments and that he had “no issue” with the employee.

“I’ve got no idea about any of this. It’s the first I’ve heard about it. It is absolutely ridiculous. I’m still working for McGrath. I work from multiple offices,” Mr Bo said.
