A local MP is encouraging Miramar Golf Club to invest in another nearby golf course if an airport land-grab goes through, so the land can be used for affordable housing.
Labour MP for Rongotai Paul Eagle said if an airport buy-up of half of Miramar Golf Course goes ahead, he wants to see the money put into Mornington Golf Course in Berhampore and the two clubs merged.
The rest of Miramar’s course could then become land for public and rental housing, as well as KiwiBuild.
