It’s been a privilege to be part of so many special occasions for our guests while also being a cozy spot for locals. Thank you for your unwavering support,” they said.

Similarly, the owners of Mekong Cafe expressed their gratitude to their loyal customers in a heartfelt social media post, emphasizing the deep connections formed over the years. “The connections are so much more than the business itself. We will say goodbye for now,” they wrote.

Wellington’s hospitality landscape has undergone significant changes in recent years. The shift to remote work during the pandemic has led to reduced foot traffic, while restaurateurs have faced rising rents and operational costs. Additionally, ongoing construction in the central city has added to the challenges faced by local eateries.
