Wainuiomata Hill could rival Mt Victoria if it had better parking, say residents

• Wainuiomata Hill could be an attraction to rival Mt Victoria – but not until it sorts out its parking problems.

That was the reaction of Stuff readers to a story quoting councillor Campbell Barry suggesting Wainuiomata Hill has a view to be proud of.

The Hutt City Council is currently building a $200,000 viewing platform, and Barry hopes Wellington residents will take visitors there, like they do to Mt Victoria, to take in the view.
