Wallaby fly-half Bernard Foley — known as “the iceman” — has made a savvy purchase in Coogee, scoring a three-bedroom apartment for $1,325,000.

All five registered bidders competed at the May 25 auction for the stylish apartment with wraparound courtyard garden at 1/3 Stark St.

With auctioneer Adrian Bo presiding, it was an exciting auction to watch, with $20,000 and $25,000 bids flying in from $1.1 million.

The winning bidder was a buyer’s agent and at the auction and ever since McGrath sales agents Nicholas Wise and Kate Smith have been tight-lipped about just who the lady was acting for.
