A controversial 113-room Wanaka hotel has been given the go-ahead by the Queenstown Lakes District Council.
It will be located in the Northlake subdivision over three levels and contain a lounge bar, gym, spa and laundry.
Winton chief executive Chris Meehan said the development company was delighted to be granted resource consent for the project.
“The district plan had already zoned this site for visitor accommodation some years ago, and the design has been refined in response to feedback through the resource consent process.”
