- A Wellington quake could leave up to half of the city’s houses unliveable and the average repair cost per home a third higher than in Christchurch.
Victoria University senior lecturer Geoff Thomas made the predictions after studies suggested many of the features common among quake-damaged Christchurch homes were rife in the Capital.
